Eileen Smith’s keen insight into public speaking performance is built on more than 20 years of policy and development experience at the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development. She is an experienced senior leader who specializes in preparing experts to deliver their most effective message in public events.
Eileen's clients include think tanks, businesses, lawyers, and non-profits. Whether her client is preparing to stand before an audience, sit on a panel, or give a media interview or group presentation, Eileen provides tailored, confidential coaching for groups and individuals in public speaking and executive presence.
In addition to preparing senior leaders for key policy speeches, Eileen has spoken to a broad range of audiences, including international organizations, advocacy groups, members of Congress, and domestic and international press. She has lectured at Georgetown University and George Washington University and has served as a moderator for panels. Eileen understands firsthand the challenges of preparing to give a speech or presentation under the time constraints of a demanding schedule and last-minute inputs.
Eileen has a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College, a Master of Arts in International Politics and International Business from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University. Eileen also has a certification to skipper a 45 foot sailboat from the American Sailing Association.
